Father Chris Kardzis - Pastor

Father Chris Kardzis was ordained on May 27, 1984. After ordination he served in Poland for three years. In 1987 he left Poland for mission work among the tribes of Papua New Guinea where he served for eight years. Fr. Chris came to the Diocese of Toledo in June of 1996 and was assigned as a pastoral associate at St. Paul Parish in Norwalk. In 1998 he responded to the request for cross cultural ministry again, agreeing to serve with the Toledo Diocese sponsored by the Mission of Accompaniment in Zimbabwe, Africa for the next 7 years. He returned to the United States in November 2005 and in July of 2006 he was appointed pastor of Holy Angels Parish in Sandusky, where he is currently ministering.

Sister Joyce Bates – Pastoral Associate

Sister Joyce Marie Bates has started her 3rd year of ministry with Holy Angels Parish as the Pastoral Associate and Director of Religious Education. She is a Sister of Notre Dame from the Toledo Province of Mary Immaculate and has celebrated 37 years of vowed life. Her past 35 years of ministry has been mostly in the Diocese of Toledo including ministry in schools, at the Catholic Diocese of Toledo Center, in parishes and as director of an outreach program for women and children. Sister is also a trained spiritual director.

Rosie Hermes - Secretary

Rosie has been the Secretary of Holy Angels since December 15, 1997. She is a “Jill of most trades and the mistress of none”! If she can’t do it, she will find someone who can. You can email her or call her at the office at 419-625-3698

Jody Nave - Organist/Music Director

Jody has been with Holy Angels for 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Music from Heidelberg College and grew up in Perkins Township. She taught at ICS Bellevue and St. Mary’s, Clyde on her journey to Holy Angels. Presently, she teaches the K-7 general music and vocal music at SCCS. She is married to Scott and has 2 daughters, Heather and Arion. She is also a grandmother. “Time flies when you are having fun!”

Lori Demres - Bookkeeper

Lori Demres is the new bookkeeper at Holy Angels. She and her family has attended Holy Angels most of their lives. She attended Holy Angels grade school and St. Mary's High School. Most of her off time is spent volunteering and having fun with Harlequins Community Theatre. See you around the parish!

Brittany Taylor

Brittany Taylor believes with her whole heart in the Life Teen mission of “Leading Teens Closer to Christ.” She grew up in a Life Teen program and is incredibly excited about bringing her love of the Catholic Faith and her experience of Life Teen to the teens of Sandusky. As Executive Director, she is looking forward to watching as the Holy Spirit continues to move within the Sandusky Life Teen (SLT) program.
